Eighteen years ago, while I was completing training in Child Centered Play Therapy in Australia, I decided that one day I wanted to self publish a children's picture book about Play Therapy.
My vision has always been to create a book that provided children, parents and caregivers with a better understanding of what Child Centered Play Therapy is so that children are able to transition into the therapeutic Play Therapy process with a greater sense of ease and safety.
It is my hope that Ash Goes to Play Therapy is an easy read for children who attend Play Therapy, will support the significant people in children's lives to confidently explain what happens in Play Therapy and provide a helpful resources for therapists and other professionals to share with children and families.
Play Therapy provides a beautiful, respectful and powerful opportunity to honour and hold space for the revelation of the wisdom and inner worlds of children and I feel absolutely honoured to share this message with children and caregivers through Ash Goes to Play Therapy.
Ash Goes to Play Therapy is for:
* Children attending Play Therapy
* Parents and/or carers who have a child(ren) attending Play Therapy
* Professionals working with children who are attending Play Therapy
* People training in Play Therapy
* Organisations, Schools, Libraries, Hospitals and Communities wanting to raise awareness of Play Therapy and support Play Therapy.
Ash Goes to Play Therapy is a special book designed to be shared and enjoyed by everyone, everywhere!!
I hope you enjoy it as much as I've enjoyed creating it and that it is helpful and meaningful for all of the children who read it.
If Ash Goes to Play Therapy helps even one child in our world to feel more safe attending Play Therapy and thus help them in their healing processes it has most definitely been worth every second.
Thank you so much for supporting this vision through your interest in Ash Goes to Play Therapy. I hope you also enjoy reading Ash Goes to Play Therapy and that it also assists you to further help children.
With love,
Natalie
